Alberto Coz and Cristina Rueda have participated actively in the Paperweek Conference and the International Forest Biorefinery Symposium at Montreal, Canada, February 4 - 8, 2013. The purpose of the symposium is to offer to the professionals and scientists working in the field of pulp and paper, biofuels and biochemical industries, a platform for the presentation of recent advancements and technological breakthroughs. The conference was organised by the Pulp and Paper Technical Association of Canada, PAPTAC Association (www.paptac.ca). Scientists and industries attended the conference. Alberto Coz gave a presentation about “Valorization of a lignocellulosic waste from a sulfite pulp mill in bioproducts”.

On 27th September 2012 Javier Viguri has participated as Opponent of the Sviatlana Miafodzyeva Licentiate Thesis. The work entitled “Understanding recycling behaviour of householders in the multicultural urban areas. Case study Jarva, Stockholm” has been presented at the industrial ecology Department of the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden.
