Defense of PhD dissertations of Maria Cruz Payán and Natalia Quijorna

Last 15th July, Maria Cruz Payán and Natalia Quijorna defended their Doctoral Thesis, that were developed in the research group Green Engineering and Resources (GER) of the Department of Chemistry and Process & Resource Engineering of the University of Cantabria. 

Maria Cruz Payán Fraile defended her International Doctoral Thesis entitled: "Analysis and modeling of metal release from contaminated sediment subject to CO2 leakages from Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) sites" that was supervised by Dr. Alberto Coz Fernández and Prof. Dr. Javier R. Viguri Fuente. The evaluation committee was chaired by Dr. Ángel delValls Casillas from the University of Cádiz (Spain). The secretary was Dra. Margarida Maria João de Quina, from the University of Coimbra (Portugal) and as a member of the committee Dra. Ana Andrés Payán, from the University of Cantabria (Spain).

 

Natalia Quijorna Kyburz defended her Doctoral Thesis entitled "Incorporation of Waelz slag into the ceramic sector: Practical example of Industrial Ecology" that was supervised by Dra. Ana Andrés Payán. The evaluation committee was chaired by Dr. Carlo Vandecasteele from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). The secretary was Dra. Maximina Romero from the Eduardo Torroja Institute for Construction Science, CSIC, (Spain) and as a member of the committee Prof. Dr. Javier Viguri Fuente, from the University of Cantabria (Spain).
