Alberto Coz and Cristina Rueda have participated actively in the Paperweek Conference and the International Forest Biorefinery Symposium at Montreal, Canada, February 4 - 8, 2013. The purpose of the symposium is to offer to the professionals and scientists working in the field of pulp and paper, biofuels and biochemical industries, a platform for the presentation of recent advancements and technological breakthroughs. The conference was organised by the Pulp and Paper Technical Association of Canada, PAPTAC Association (www.paptac.ca). Scientists and industries attended the conference. Alberto Coz gave a presentation about “Valorization of a lignocellulosic waste from a sulfite pulp mill in bioproducts”.

Ana Andres, Alberto Coz, Maria Coronado and Elena Dosal have participated actively in the WasteEng 2012 Conference: 4th International Conference on Engineering for Waste and Biomass Valorisation at Porto, Portugal, September 10 – 13, 2012. Researchers have been actively involved in the technical and social programme, with the participation in the Scientific Committee, chaired several sessions and the presentation of oral and poster works that cover several topics of the conference program.
